Gryneion coins Apollo, Pinna Nobilis (2019) is a drawing based on a rare coin from the ancient city Gryneion dated to 400 BC. Each drawing depicts the two sides of a coin. At the one side is the figure of Apollo with laurel wreath and on the other is a Pinna Nobilis shell which is a symbol for Gryneion. The work is part of the series History of a particular nameless creek (2019) that Deniz produced for the occasion of the 16th Istanbul Biennial.
